Project brief:

Severn Trent is a UK water company listed on the FTSE 100. Providing such a vital service amid fierce competition and a strict regulatory environment, demands ongoing skills and compliance training for their learners.

With this business-critical learning provision spread across multiple legacy systems, Severn Trent decided to consolidate and optimise digital learning in a single platform:

Solution:

Brightwave offered a single, simple solution: bring all digital learning content onto a single, easy-to-manage platform. This in itself presented a further unique set of challenges, as all existing learner and completion data alongside all of Severn Trent’s content would need to be transferred across too.

Transfer of this data was crucial for Severn Trent to have an accurate representation of the training that had been completed by employees, and so a workable solution within the available timeframe was required.

Brightwave worked to reclassify the existing resources by topic and saved in an appropriate taxonomy and format before transferring the data across to the new platform, ensuring that completion/tracking data from Severn Trent’s previous learning system mapped to the correct resources as they now appeared within tessello. 

Results:

On launching the system, Severn Trent employees have been delighted by the simplicity and ease of use of tessello, paired with easy access to all of their mandatory learning in one location.

The new system, which provides the learner a clear and needs-based set of tailored learning experiences, has already shown significant improvement in learner engagement with inevitable knock on benefits for productivity:

Project brief:

Unison wanted to boost unity and organisational identity, reflecting the same community feel that they stand for. And knowledge sharing needed to feed into this.

The question was, how do you bring together thousands of physically divided staff and activists from one of the world's largest trade unions?

Solution:

Brightwave developed for Unison their own, branded tessello platform, known throughout the union as 'Organising Space'. This platform provides space to problem solve as part of a wide community, keep up to date with the latest headline and campaign information and go from beginner to expert in any skill or discipline.

Project brief:
